Who We Are
“We exist to plant local churches that develop fully devoted disciples of Christ among Sri Lankans within the country and the Sri Lankan Diaspora around the world. We will experience a sense of fulfilment when we see the increase in local church plants for the Sinhala, Tamil and English speaking Sri Lankans.
We will strive to see all five purposes of worship, fellowship, discipleship, evangelism and mission being established and functioning in each local church. We desire to do this work in accordance to New Testament principles for ministry and ultimately for the Glory of God”

Founders
Rev. Vijayarajah Rajamani (also known by his congregants as Ps. Anton) was ordained in 1990 by the Foursquare Gospel Church, Sri Lanka. Having followed the footsteps of his father, the late Apostle Dr. Gnanam Rajamani into fulltime service, Ps. Anton has since served people from diverse backgrounds across South Korea, India, Dubai, AbuDabi, Sharjah, AL Ain, Lebanon, Bahrain, Jordan, Italy, Germany, Singapore, Moldives, UK, California and other nations. with the transforming love of Jesus Christ.
A graduate of Life Bible School, Sri Lanka; trained in discipleship by Rev. David Yonggi Cho at the International School of the Bible, South Korea and also a student of the Haggai Institute, Sri Lanka, Pas Anton V Rajamani was honoured with the title of ‘Doctor of Divinity’, by International Truth University, India for his work and ministry.
Regularly ministering at Gethsemane Church, Wattala, Pas. Anton is supported by his wife of 32 years, Florine; and has two children who have followed his footsteps into full-time service.

Where We Are
Gethsemane Gospel Church is situated in Wattala, the outskirts of Colombo. Although the church began with 30 members, the. church has grown immensely by the grace of the Lord. Now it is a dynamic and growing community of Christian believers: more than 10,000 people have become members through the many branches around the Island. In the mother-church 800 people attend the Sunday Worship Gathering, which holds 5 services consecutively. The congregation consists of people of all ages, but includes a large number of young families. Presently, Gethsemane Gospel church has 75 branches on its own, 116 full Time Pastor, 20 Evangelist and 100 co-workers serving under the guidance of Rev. Anton V Rajamani.Rev. Anton V Rajamani’s strong vision is to raise a church that is enriched with the teaching of the word of God, moving members into disciples and planting churches in the many areas that are not yet evangelized in Sri Lanka and abroad
